I was especially happy to be reminded about Pito - we used to go to a compound called Blackpool (for a rason I never knew) Anyway, keep up the good work - I loved the map. |

Name: Afriyie Website: Referred by: Just Surfed On In! From: Ghana Time: 1997-04-24 23:28:00 Comments: This is an excellent website! I am glad to see that there are visitors to Ghana who are interested in the northern part of the country. Good work! My favorite page is, well, ALL OF THEM! I, however, would like to make a slight commemt on the rubber/plastic "bathroom" slippers you mentioned. They are actually called "Charlie Worte", with a strong emphasis on the (e) which sounds more like an A. You had the translation right, but "worte" is not Twi, but Ga; the language spoken in the Greater Accra area. So, if you can suffer this correction to an otherwise superb web-page, I would like to say "wu a ya diee"-well done in Twi. |
